@DunningKruger Seriously. I was once talking with a young woman who was giving me information about a job I was to do for her group. She kept interrupting herself to apologize for taking up my time, how I must have other things to do, yada yada, so much so that I was having trouble figuring out what she needed from me. I finally had to stop her and say to her, "This is what I'm doing right now." It was as if the very idea that she and her project could possibly be someone's priority was alien to her.
