@SW-User Well, one good tip I picked up is ignoring the camera... Never look directly into the camera.

Take more than one. Don't be happy with just the first pic you snap.

Also take some time to edit them afterwards to get the framing right.

And it might seem cliched, but black and white pics always have an air of class about them.
