I think words/phrases like “always, no matter what” can lead to unrealistic expectations when it comes to certain situations. Sure, they should want to be there for you no matter what, and should most definitely try their best, but sometimes they’re just not or unable to, and it doesn’t mean that they don’t love you. I personally don’t believe anyone can always be there for you no matter what no matter how much they love you. People are not that predictable.
Rather, people and life are not that predictable whether people like to pretend they are or not.

@LucyFuhr thanks Lucy 🤗. I just kind of thought about my personal situations and how sometimes the people I love the most aren’t always there for me when I need them, and there’s just so many different factors/reasons/possibilities as to why and it’s not necessarily always bad. There are cases where they’re oblivious/unaware how much I may need them for personal situations they maybe experiencing themselves or just unaware. There also the fact that I’m not always vocal about how I feel, sometimes they don’t really know how to be there or how to react, sometimes there’s misunderstandings, and the list can just be endless and I don’t think it’s completely fair for me to view the love as not real or there because of life.

More like they’ll do everything in their power to be there for you. There extenuating circumstances that might not permit them to come.

False.
Absolutes like "no matter what" are what lead to disappointment. I think that's a little too idealistic and "expectant".
People are flawed, people disappoint, even people who love you.

If it is true they would always be there.

False. True love isn't about being there no matter what. Stalkers can do that. It's about being there for someone no matter what. There is a difference. Basically they should want you there first.

They are always there for you from a standpoint of being supportive....even if they can’t manage to be there in a literal sense, so I’d say true (even if they aren’t there in person).
