They can certainly become more suggestible and malleable, but that's largely down to hormones racing through their bodies. After people have been together a while, I think they both revert to their actual selves (which includes now showing the behaviours they'd previously been hiding because they know it's unattractive).

@GlassDog You're saying the chemicals settle or rest after falling in love then, like it returns into its natural state ?
GlassDog · 41-45, M
@wackidywack To an extent, yes. We have oxytocin swilling around our systems in the first flush of love. The biological purpose is to make it easier to bond (the same hormone bonds mothers with their babies). After we've become familiar with each other, we still have certain strong feelings or emotions but it's because we have genuinely bonded, rather than our hormones smoothing things out.

You remember the gold&white/black&blue dress thing?
Well I watched a video reaction of it when the thing just came out and I saw the dress gold and white, but during the next week I fell inlove with a person, and then I went back to rewatch that same reaction video, because I started to see the dress blue and black. I'm not kidding, I rewatched the same exact video from a week before and I saw the dress blue and black. 🤯
So could the emotions from feeling inlove change that perception?

If they are hiding some negative aspects of their personality,it will come out eventually.

@Elinoria because love opens a door to the true self ?
