Who else struggles with insomnia?

How do you cope?
I don't struggle with mine, it's self-induced. I've had vivid nightmares since I was a kid, and hate sleeping.

I go through periods. I try to make sure I stop having any caffeine by 12 pm, I have a warm shower before bed and try to stay away from anything upsetting, electronic, or conversation at least an hour before. Music or reading right before seem to help.

@YourBuddyRandall Nothing too loud. Something that makes me happy or makes my mind either focus or shut off. Sometimes classical is good for that (Clair de Lune), sometimes old stuff like (Asleep by The Smith's, or Is Your Love Stong Enough- Brian Ferry), or most things by Dead Can Dance.

I read all kinds of things, but I like history and Biography best. I am reading a book called The Ugly Renaissance now.

I just deal with it. 🤷‍♀️ One can see a sleep specialist and do a sleep study for it to find specific solutions but it's incredibly expensive.
i just sleep later. it's a problem.

*raises hand* Smoke weed, watch Netflix, etc. Anything is better than forcing yourself to lie there awake and frustrated.

I stay up 2 3 days at a time my longest was 8 days but when i do sleep ill sleep 2 days
