“Being a Republican is a religion and being a Democrat is science.”

Disagree with both. Democrats seem to be very emotional and don't seem to think through the ultimate consequences of their policies (no science about any of it), whereas Republicans seem to be far less emotional and focus on policies that will be good for the nation as a whole. There may be some Republicans who are religious, but they would be offended if someone told them that their politics was a religion.
