Why does my sister put me down

In a sort of subtle way, not just but my kids too. Then, she has so many questions, I just wonder why she wants to know so much. I don’t understand because I am busy with my life to focus on someone else’s life.
I try to stay away from her but she’s my only sister.

SHe's probably suffering from low self esteem, and tries to remedy that by pulling other people down, instead of building herself up.... or she could be jealous of what you've got.... or both?? ... or something else completely different.. :)

@walabby thank you. Her health and financial situation is so much better than mine, relationships too. I just wish she would work on her issues and stop putting me down.

@Love4All OK... SHe must be feeling smug and superior.. not great traits, but she's the only sis that you have... :/

@walabby It’s a combination of what you’ve mentioned I think. And yes, she’s my only sister that’s why I continue seeing her, but it was much worse before... so I’m hopeful...and I think she had a relapse last time I saw her.
She said she’s going to therapy.

@Love4All Ok... She does have medical issues then. Feel sorry for her and be supportive..

@walabby some, but I meant psychologist

@Love4All Tell her that! 😏That's what I finally did with my sister.

@Peaches oh my! She knows what she does because then she’ll be nice. Seems like she can’t stop herself.
Once I told her something and she reacted so dramatically.

@Love4All Oh. 😔That's too bad, maybe bi polar or something. I have a few friends who are. I'm more tolerant if there are things like that going on as long as they are seeking out some kind of help for their issues.
Love4All · 56-60, F
@Peaches by dramatically I mean crying and nervous, I think now she might be more aware of what she says
For now, I’ll avoid seeing or talking to her
Thank you for you support 💖

@Love4All Well I KNOW my sister is aware of her actions, 😡I avoid her phone calls and all has been peaceful for the past 3 years this month since I put my foot down!

@Peaches I’m really hoping she works on her issues, she has so much anger and I’ll point it out to her next time. She always does it in front of our kids and for their sake I haven’t said anything. She knows it. And also it takes me by surprise but I need to change my perspective, I’ll be expecting it and will say something, calmly.
Peaches · F
@Love4All Yes, staying calm is important or she will only hear the anger.😔
