Do you believe all people are good, bad, or a mixture?

I've always been convinced we're all evil. Maybe it's just the way I've looked at things. Why do we have laws and why are we being watched? Why does it feel hard to do the right thing sometimes? If I am already born good, why would I need to train myself to do right? Did something throughout my life give me a reason to feel that all people are bad? How do you feel about people?

I believe that most people are inherently good. I was abused(physically & verbally) by my dad until I was 15 and bullied by my whole school and my sister, until I was 16, but that hasn't changed my views. I believe that people want to be good, but hurt people, hurt people. That tends to happen a lot. We make mistakes, we get back up, we hurt each other, then apologize. Nobody is perfect but I do believe that most everyone wants to be happy and wants the people around them to also be happy and doing well.
