I fear that we are not getting the whole story on climate change.
Regardless of what is causing it things are changing so fast that I suspect that the reality is that this is the planets' way of getting rid of humans. How long do we have?

This reminds me of the lead debate, we first started putting lead in gasoline in the early 1920's and it's excellent anti knock properties help revolutionize the automotive industry. 25 years later the production of tetraethyllead in
the United States used over 100 000 metric tonnes of lead per year and ranked
among the top 10 industrial chemical enterprises in the country. The battle between the industry paid experts and those with environmental concerns started right away. The fight continued but you just can't fight big industry money and bought off politicians.
Nobody questions now that lead is bad and that leaded gasoline put lead in the atmosphere and gave rise to lead blood levels in people. That is why the whole world outlawed leaded gasoline. But once it was proven beyond any doubt it still took 20 years to change the policy.
Same thing has happened with climate change. Just like with lead there are some so called experts who go against main stream science saying it is just a hoax and fear mongering. I am old enough that I will be dead when some of the more serious consequences get here but I will see the beginnings. We are actually seeing some of it now.
