Would a person who is lying say "have been telling you the truth," instead of "I have been telling you the truth."?

Which one of the sentences above would a liar use? All in all I'm just trying to see if I'm being lied to, and if liars avoid using the letter 'I,'

It's not a universal thing. People have different tendencies when they lie. It depends on the individual. If you know the person, you'd be able to figure it out.

@SW-User they use 'I' all the time. That's why my radar went up this time around

I'd trust my instincts on that one. If you get the sense that something is off in the way they're talking, it probably is a lie. @Ladyofemotions
