Could this be a sign of a legitimate problem that I should ask a psychologist about?

For the longest time I've experienced mood swings, ones where I barely know what hit me. For no reason, I can switch between emotions completely. I've heard of autistics like myself having this problem, but I am not sure if it is a different issue at hand. Along with that, I have sudden bursts of energy sometimes. Is this a sign of another issue?

@Butterflykisses24 bipolar isn’t second to second mood swings nor minute to minute. It’s extreme feelings of euphoria and extreme lows of depression over the span of months. My mom is bipolar and so is my friend.

@Classy I may blow it off as adhd or another autism connected thing, but I do have several moments where I suddenly become extremely happy and more active without cause.

@ThatSherlockFan I’m no doctor but you could have a mood disorder

@Classy Depends on what type of bipolar you have. There are two different kinds. One where you have periods of energy and don't need sleep and euphoria.Described as mania.I have two family members having both types.Doesn't always mean you are depressed.

@Butterflykisses24 both still deal with depression but one form of bipolar is just more mild, that’s my understanding of it
