Could this be a sign of a legitimate problem that I should ask a psychologist about?

For the longest time I've experienced mood swings, ones where I barely know what hit me. For no reason, I can switch between emotions completely. I've heard of autistics like myself having this problem, but I am not sure if it is a different issue at hand. Along with that, I have sudden bursts of energy sometimes. Is this a sign of another issue?

It it worries you then there’s no harm in consulting with a doctor, especially if it would make you feel better.

@Classy unless they lead you to believe there's something wrong with you when there's not and we all know they like doing that to control you

@JovialPlutonian that’s true, but that’s why you should always have a dr you trust

@Classy their intention might be to help you but when the medical industry refrains from curing ppl of cancer it's hard to trust what they believe will help you. Putting a plaster on it only covers it up

@JovialPlutonian the medical industry’s biggest concern is the amount of money they’re making, which is why I believe they refrain from curing cancer patients and instead make them go through a horrendous and expensive process to remove the cancer-not cure.

And on the other hand, they’ll make money if a patient comes in to get a consultation and make more money once they hand out a prescription.

Overall, a consultation is different than getting cancer treatments.

@Classy well either way I believe I am healthier from not consulting doctors about my health

@JovialPlutonian yea I agree, I am healthier because I don’t go to he doctor every time I get sick, but she (the author of the post) wouldn’t be going because of a cold or the flu. She would be going for her mental health. Which is not something you can always just ‘get over’ by yourself, and sometimes there are chemicals in the brain that need help staying stabalized.

@Classy well my experience with psychologists have been less useful than my own counsel. Psychologist's advice for depression; put a coin in a jar every time someone pays you a compliment, then when the jar is full you can count all the coins and see how great you are! I don't think this justifies this particular psychology affording a five bed house in London and not very helpful in improving one's mental health. Might work for some but haven't come across anyone that it would.

@JovialPlutonian that’s so irrelevant I’m lost. Did you read her post? I wasn’t talking about depression nor was I talking about a psychologist.

Well the post was about consulting a psychologist so...
