@Torsten The policies that allow women to do those things were created by other men. It's a systemic problem. You're not being oppressed by the female gender as a whole if some lady hits you.

@revenant The education system is run by men even though women are more likely to be teachers, at least in elementary school. The worst teachers I've had, the kind that either harangue the class incessantly or were violent, were men, by the way. The worst I can say about female teachers is some of them were boring.

We have a long way to go before women are equal. Women don't even have control of their reproduction anymore in many states. That's third world shit right there.

I lived here in the 1980s when I witnessed conservatives like Jerry Falwell dancing in the streets and drooling with joy at the sight of gay men dying from AIDS, getting the divine retribution they deserved. Even today, all of the animus against gay and trans people is coming from conservatives. Maybe it's different in your country, but I live in the US and am going by what I see here. If it's different in Norway, that's great but I don't live there.
