If you present yourself as a joke and everyone ends up laughing at you. Do you have the right to get offended?

You always have the right to get offended, but nobody is obligated to take you seriously because of it.

@BigBadBundleBoy you have a point.

Being offended is not a right, despite the recent societal assertions to the contrary.
You may feel any way you wish. People cannot stop feeling. Why would you present yourself that way?
summersun · 36-40, F
@PoetryNEmotion I saw a similar situation at the mall earlier and I am just curious how others see it.

If I dress up as a clown and make people laugh, cool.

If I present as a super insecure person and people laugh, then no it isn't.

@Peaceful 🤔 okay..
Peaceful · F
@summersun meaning, if im aiming to be laughed at/with, it's cool. If I'm not, please don't. Better?
summersun · 36-40, F
@Peaceful yes, I got it but something popped up in my head earlier and now I can't seem to remember what it is. Lol

He has the right to feel whatever. It's just not always reasonable.

I faced similar situation today.. I told a guy that believes reality is an illusion to go fuck himself and it upset him , which doesn't make sense to me because according to him, I'm not really here and he is just experiencing an illusion produced by his own mind. 🙆

That would be like a hooker telling a man that he doesn't have the right to touch her....
summersun · 36-40, F
@indyjoe it would seem so, yes.
