Do sporty socks really make you feel sporty?

Nike sports socks specially formulated with athletic technology blah, blah, blah. The only thing they have done is create a pressure sore on my little toe. The only reason I bought the things is because they were A. Cheap and B. Not made of bamboo or nylon.

$24.95 for a pack of 3 pairs of socks. Which is expensive I'll admit. I could get better socks and for less cash in the city. But at least it was better then the bamboo socks which were $12.95 per pair. @NeuroticByNature
