Have you ever been asked to prove who you are to someone online because someone else hurt them?

Would you take offense to it if you are asked?

Why/ why not?

Yes and I don't get offended but I do as I feel like.

Although I don't get it. If I'm not going to meet someone ever then why would it matter if I'm a 70 year old lady or a penguin from Antarctica. It's just the thoughts and feelings that matter.

@MasterofNone Lol. The offending bit it not showing who we are. The offending bit to me is having to prove who I am in the light of another persons treachery.
To me, is sounds like I am being called treacherous too and asked to be proved otherwise. And this after years of interaction with me is offensive to me.

But like you say, what does it matter. In any case, I'd rather be the penguin in Antartica. :D

@SW-User lol I bet one would rather want to be the penguin lol.

Sad thing it is. Lack of trust after years of interaction is a sad thing. Even if you don't get offended, all those years full of interaction would seem like for nothing sigh.

@MasterofNone Eh, the smartest of people seem to get lost when hit by emotions. Such is life.
