So I have to live with both blame and being a criminal? No thanks. No amount of blame will make me compromise my personal integrity. They might not believe me but I know what is true.

Personally, my answer is no/never; they’re waste of time/energy, no offences. Thanks
frequentlyme · 70-79, M
Nope. Why not? Here is a simple answer, a true one, by the way. When I was in school and in a crowd of students trying to get in an auditorium, someone reached out and squeezed a girls butt, she turned around and I was behind her, so she blamed me. I didn't do it, and I sure as heck wouldn't then do it just because I was blamed for it.

@frequentlyme That is one perspective of it though.

I would rather commit crime on my own terms than someone else's. Silence and walk away. They get nothing and that's enough response.

Like double jeopardy?
Because it's my life. And I'll live it how I want.
Just because some people think I'm a hoe, don't mean I have to be one.

@symphonyssadness But there is also a limit to how much blame you take from someone you love.

@SW-User Hurts but tru

Of course not.
Would be living to their expectations, instead of being authentic

No, you know you didn’t do it so it’s better to wait/work for the truth to come out.

No, don't give them the pleasure of knowing they were right.

I did this.
A few years back, in the first summer after I gave up work I was taking the kids to see my MIL every week, I missed one week as the only day she had free I was getting a filling. She told the whole extended family that I was preventing her from seeing the grandchildren. So I stopped going round and arranging it leaving it all up to her, I wasn't going to put up with her crap and have her complain about me. At least now when she complains she's telling the truth.

@InOtterWords That's precisely the kind of crap blame I am talking of from other people.
There is no point bending over backwards for someone who will only see faults in you.
