How many times will it take for a person to be told they have done good?

Compared to the amount of times they were told they were worthless for it to take hold they are good?

I think that most people or at least I sincerely hope most people would realize their inherent worthiness as a human being enough to know that they should discard the opinion of anyone who tells them they are unworthy
