I feel that I am not showing my true self. Does that mean I am a narcissist?

I feel like I've created a false self version of myself that I present to the world.

Everyone does that. We all wear a mask to present ourselves to people.

What makes a narcissist is something different. They're usually self absorbed, arrogant, self righteous, and treat other people like shit

@SW-User I know. What worries me is that I exhibit the traits you just described too.

Well, the biggest thing a narcissist never learns is to be humble, empathetic, and to be still.

I am not the most humble person around, nor the most empathetic either. But I know I can learn to improve myself.

@Comet27 I don't expect you to be Ghandi, but honestly because you're concerned about potentially being an asshole that rules out you being narcissistic.

A real narcissist knows it, doesn't care. Or, he/she may just be too self righteous to admit to being one.
