Is it illegal to kill a Huntsman spider in Australia?

I've seen many videos of Australians trying to capture the thing and release it outside rather than killing it.

Dunno. I think it's only illegal to kill mammals, reptiles and birds.

@walabby yeah they did, they root and multiply, horny little critters lol. I heard pet rabbits are illegal in QLD because of something to do with the agriculture.

@SW-User Yeah, one of those stupid, archaic laws from aeons past. They made it illegal to own rabbits in Qld to keep them out but the ignorant critters walked over the border.. :D

Those spiders are not poisonous, so we catch and release, but if it’s a redback, white tail or Sydney Funnel web, they must die.

They call themselves humane. But really have you seen those suckers, some are more than a foot, I wouldn't know what to do except shoe it out.
