Do you ever get to live the life you want? How often does that happen in a lifetime?

Few of us get the life we want.
Primarily because we have obligations to parties and people we'd rather not have too much to deal with if choice played any part.

Family can make demands you tolerate out of begrudging respect.
Employers think they can make unrealistic expectations and your refusal to comply can make worklife unnecessarily difficult.

And so we get stuck on these irritating merry-go-rounds trying to keep everyone else happy while losing sight of whatever it was that we thought we wanted.

To a lucky small percentage. But even those lofty perches weren't gained without sacrifice and setback.

For the remainder of us, circumstance and cold realties dictate we live out some watered down version of our dreams. Or sometimes we must forfeit them all together.

Not really. But, it's perspective.

Not often, I'm guessing.

I must lived a GOOD life in another life, cause this life aint all the way popping.

No, but I make the best of the life I have. I don’t think there are that many who truly are living the life they wanted, or imagined for themselves.
