Does some poetry supposed to be sensual sound like alien speak and leaves you cold?

Yes a few because they've tried too hard with the use of words and it certainly didn't inspire sensuality when I read it, although it is meant to be a "sensual" poem and the image depicts that, but the words don't match up.
