How often do you think about the loved ones you have lost ?

LilPrincess · 41-45, F
Sadly every day. I lost my dad right before Father's day from suicide 2007 and my mama the week before Christmas 2012.

Then my nephew and a sister in 2013.
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
@LilPrincess I am so sorry 🩷
LilPrincess · 41-45, F
@iamonfire696 thank ya ♥️
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
@LilPrincess of course 🩷
All the time.
I can see his face and hear his voice in my head. Miss you dad.
Some more often than others. My husband, son & my mother are a constant ache in my heart. 😞

@itsok Yup. I can't think of how not to. 😔

A lot more often these days.

Not sure if it's a realisation of my own precarious mortality or whether it's something that has come to me with age.
The older one gets the more loved ones you lose along the way.

And i miss them.
It’s a rare day I don’t. They’re part of me. It’s not always sad to think of them. They weren’t sad before they went.

Not a day goes by where I don’t think about them
nacnud · 31-35, M
It really does vary and I've found does change over time. Significant anniversaries or remembering old memories are often a trigger for me. I lost a parent when I was in my 20s.
calicuz · 51-55, M
Saw a pic of my father I hadn't seen in a very long time, it made me miss him so much. 😢
Nitedoc · 51-55, M
@calicuz I know the feeling. I lost my mother a while back. People say it gets better in time. I don't know.
calicuz · 51-55, M
@Nitedoc

It hurts really bad at first, so in the sense that it doesn't hurt so much after time, that, it could be said, is where it might get better. But the missing them part never fades.
Nitedoc · 51-55, M
@calicuz I know the feeling will never go away but maybe it does get better. I just thought about it for a minute and realized it's been five years since my mother passed. I can't believe it's been that long! I don't think I grieve anymore but I do still miss her.

Most days, my best friend died 16yrs ago 2 weeks before her 40th as mine would have been 2 months earlier and we had such plans. When I’m alone and I walk I still talk to her all the time asking advice just catching her up on things. I still have her mobile number on my phone and can never bring myself to delete it. 😓😭

They say that time heals all wounds, but I say this is bullshit. Time helps the wound scab over and the mind just keeps picking at the scab.
goodlil666 · 51-55, MVIP
Just about everyday, but since I don't have any family left seldom a day goes by that I don't think of some lost loved one.
Gibbon · 70-79, M
Every day and the grief never gets easier.
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
Not sure, whenever things remind me of them..

I try not to think about my mom and dad much. My mom was the hardest on me. My dad, i guess i learned to bury my grief with the dead.
Every day, too often.
That's family! You're a prisoner until you can't make friends anymore, then you are excluded and dumped.
darkmere1983 · 46-50, M

My friend that motivated me to keep pushing forward...every April. Was the time of his homicide 7 years ago.

My cousin who recently died from complications by breathing in air from 9/11, at least once a week.
