Without mentioning the United States' 45th president,

what's a major event that you swore would never happen that actually happened?

All of the Putin ass kissing by conservatives and Christians
@SW-User Yeah, I don't understand that in the slightest. Even if we disagree about who should be president, I don't get how anybody could look at that insane expansionist dicktator and see anything but a menace.

@SW-User good and upsetting point

@SW-User I think it's essentially an expression of American isolationism, not so much a type of bootlicking.

@LordShadowfire hate to bust your bubble, but which president has praised Putin and the Russian government more than any other in history?
@samueltyler2 Does his name rhyme with hump, rump, and dump?

@samueltyler2 What Mr Trump said was strangely at odds with what his administration did. No other administration put more sanctions on Russia than the Trump administration.

@helenS So? what he said was treasonous! By the way, why were sanctions required on Russia? who enabled their actions?

You might not even be correct about who put more sanctions on Russia:

The Trump administration continued imposing new sanctions on Russia, albeit at a much lower rate than the preceding Obama administration, which designated 458 entities and individuals with ties to Russia during Obama’s second term compared to 273 under Trump.

@samueltyler2 Here's a list of sanctions imposed on Russia by the Trump administration. I hope the list is reliable.

More specifically, Trump signed a law that imposed sanctions on any firm that helps Russia's state-owned gas company, Gazprom, finish a pipeline into the European Union. The US considered the project a security risk to Europe, and rightly so.

You know I'm not Mr Trump's biggest fan.

@helenS if you actually look at what you cited, most were "Statements," not sanctio0ns!
