Do you regret your life and wish you could take so much back?

I wasted my teens, twenties, and early thirties. It was a mix of low motivation, trauma, and mental illnesses. I just hope I have motivation to life a better more independent and self sufficient life than I have. For two years my parents have been my legal and medical guardians and my mom is enrolling as a caregiver in an adult family or adult foster care program to get a stipend for helping take care of me. This is the life I led myself into by lack of action to make changes in my life. I’m also on disability benefits to help with my upkeep. I wish I never developed mental illnesses and took more initiative to finish things that I have started including vocational
Training courses and my higher education. Yes, I’m a quitter when things get tough or confusing for me. I have also been feeling uninspired lately with creative hobbies I haven’t painted, drawn, done creative writing, done needlework ( except for knitting or made jewelry. In a while. I still learn languages, knit, and read. I have not done word search puzzle games in a long time. I get these creative blocks sometimes and I feel full of regret.

something you may want to look into, and something that I often see in people with mental illness, is that some form of physical exercise is highly beneficial and usually avoided - how about a somatic /physical hobby...?
Best of luck!

As of me, yes I feel like I too have wasted years and years being depressed but I am making up for them now :).. I wish you to experience that one day. Try, get up and try again, try and fail and try and fail until you are better and better and better......

Yes, I regret so much. I was a bully in school and college and I ended up with no friends at all, people didn’t want to be seen with me. It absolutely ruined a few years for me.
I’ve started to make changes and rebuild my life and I’m now much happier, I’m married and do have a couple of friends.
It was hard, but worth it.

No I got the same as a lot of guys got that came from bad homes and poverty. Probably a lot more than others. I don't have a prison record and I don't even drink. I could easily be on drugs an alcoholic or locked up in prison.

I regret the last 8 years. I wish my life had taken a different route. It's not that I didn't learn anything in that time and I don't regret certain experiences on the way at all but except 2019, it has been such low effort life. Especially last 3 years have been a downward slope.

I suppose I had bad days and made mistakes. We all do. But to tell you the truth, I wouldnt change a thing in terms of shifting the direction my life has taken. Even the mistakes I made led to something good.. Yes. I know how lucky I have been..😷
