There was someone I didn't speak to close to a decade, and they knew why. We made contact again last year and they seemed keen, and then just suddenly gave me one word replies and cold shoulder. So I figured I'll only message her if she messages first.

Honestly I sometimes do this if someone is being an arse and I don’t wunna argue or even talk to them. Or if I’m in a bad mood and need to regulate my emotions cause I really don’t wunna be rude by saying something hurtful.
I’m working on it tho.
