Turns out the reason the squatter even has a chance is because I filed wrong.
I didn't know how else to file against him. He's trespassing, but the police wouldn't do sһit about it. And under Oregon law, since he managed to stay more than 10 days, he counts as a tenant. But now, because I filed against him as if he were a tenant, he's able to claim that he has a contract. And under that contract, we were required to provide electricity, drinkable water, and a septic drain.
All because I didn't know the right procedure for filing against somebody like him.
Thing is, we had a lawyer already. Frank Wall. I'm not afraid to publicize his name, because it should be publicized. He's a worthless son of a bitсһ who took our $100 retainer and has done nothing ever since.
