Did you know that most of humanity has been spent being insane and worshipping insanity?

Think about it. All the makeup with lead in it, all the chemicals inhaled, all the inbreeding in royal families, all the rulers who potentially had undiagnosed illnesses, all the childhood trauma when we didn't even know how trauma impacted us from childhood to adulthood.

Also clay pots, I think clay but I'm not quite sure. They recently found that clay things or something to that extent, don't quote me on it but basically ancient societies were poisoning themselves through naturally made products. Had a large dose of mercury enough to kill a bear.

Just think about it on a larger scale. Most of our time on earth has been spent insane. Whether inbreeding so that rulers get things like psychosis or back when we had lead in makeup, or bad batches of sourdough due to unsanitary conditions that led to the witch hunts.

It's just weird to think about really. When you think about it like that, things get really weird when you actually know just how much humanity has spent being utterly insane. You can't tell me that lead in makeup didn't contribute to things for example.

Sure you would be able to function for sure and be lucid enough to carry a job but how much of those things really impacted your decision making is probably a huge factor.

Therefore, we've lived most of our humanity being literally insane.
Everytime I hear someone talk about how superior we are to all other forms of life I think about the same things

@robingoodfellow I can't find it now, but I have a screenshot of someone saying that humans are the most important species on the planet, and me replying, "Says the human..."
point is that 'humanity' does not exist relative to a unit of the human species

because the consciousness of the species is inaccessible to the consciousness of the unit of the species

image of 'humanity' is familiar to you through 'humanity history', these are records of sequences of sequences of subjective images of autonomous units of 'humanity'

for 'humanity' as a species it is absolutely unimportant what you are talking about because for it there is only the process of maintaining its existence and in this process only those chains of autonomous units participate that survive

@fakable That doesn't explain all the mercury poisoning, inbreeding and other things. Collectively we were insane for much of our history. But back then they didn't know about poison or inbreeding or other illnesses. It was usually cast aside for something or the other. It would have seem normal.
@SatanBurger

that's what i'm telling you

It's natural selection

for a blind rat to find its way out of a cage it has to poke its face into every hole

that's how the natural selection algorithm works

essence of that algorithm is the explanation for what you're talking about

but

these things should have no explanation at all at the level of consciousness of a single unit

I did a paper in college on ergot poisoning during the witch trials. Stuff is very common in grain.
SatanBurger · 36-40, FVIP
@Tastyfrzz I imagine that stuff like that was widespread before certain agencies arise. Which leads me to believe my theory that humanity has spent a lot of that time insane
Tastyfrzz · 61-69, M
@SatanBurger I think they must have had some idea, otherwise everyone would have died. More likely the problem was that of hunger, bad weather, ignorance, and greed.

And the writers of the bible probably tripped on shrooms.
SatanBurger · 36-40, FVIP
@Peaceandnamaste Lol I've wondered about that

Was there cancer before cosmetics and aerosol deodorants? 🤔

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout Yeah I think so, genetics for sure. But like I mentioned so much other stuff like inbreeding, toxic food that they ate that had bacteria too. They say a bad batch of sourdough may have led to the Salem witch trials. Bad ferments can cause paralysis and other symptoms the girls had. And they traced an outbreak around the time it started.

Lots of poor food practices because they didn't have a choice and sometimes it worked, other times it didn't.

Lots of other stuff we've done because we either had to, religious practices or cultural beliefs enough to believe that humanity has been insane for most of its lifespan.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
I would not be the slightest bit surprised if that changed our genetic makeup in a bad way.

@jshm2 They've found mercury in human bones for a long time now. Most of our ancestors had toxic doses because of the stuff they used. Don't get me wrong they probably lived through that but I'm saying it had to affect them mentally.

You're also just zoned in on Mercury poisoning. Every king and Queen was inbred which led to psychosis and other things which also explains weird laws, superstitions and other nonsense. Aside from inbreeding, there were lots of cultural practices that poisoned us too.
