Thoughts on lens wipes?

I use 'em on camera lenses, but sparingly. It's still easy to rub a bit of grit across your UV filter and leave a scratch.

On my eyeglasses, I only use hot water and soap and fingers, and I tap them and let them dry (yeah, tiny droplets remain after tapping that dry into tiny specks). In the past, too often have I rubbed my glasses with a clean cloth only to discover that there was grit already on the lens and I was rubbing the grit around.

Fingers are more sensitive at feeling the grit, but maybe a rinse under the faucet followed by a fresh lens wipe would be as safe and leave no droplets.

Did you clean them today with a lens wipe?

@XenonRush they're surprisingly not very smudgy today, so didn't need to.

I've never used them for my glasses. It's not that serious
