The migrant crisis has been tragic; many young people have died while attempting to live better lives. But I fear that things will only get worse. All I want is that they be recognised as fellow human beings with families to support and aspirations for a better life. Many ignorant people have said that they shouldn't even be in this country, but those same people need to realise that a large number of migrants are fleeing nations where western nations have taken their resources, so I'd say this has weighed heavily and definitely makes me feel saddened.
