@Morrigan because at the budding stage of the possible relationship, he might jump to the wrong conclusion and any interest he may have had could be extinguished. I believe that communication is key in any relationship, however, its best to improve it as you go.

@Morrigan its all a game. A successful approach is key to overall success. There's nothing wrong with doing nothing while you observe their natural reactions to your indifference. I think 2 weeks is a bit of a stretch. If he really likes her (whomsoever they may be), he will be contacting her within a few days. The sooner the better.
