@MalteseFalconPunch That is one crap thing about the world, it is like the harder you struggle, the more you are preyed upon. Taking advantage of people's desperation.

There is a home version of the lottery one can play though and it has the same results as buying tickets. Just take the money out of your wallet that you would spend on lottery and just throw it in the trash. If someone cannot picture themselves doing that, it is the biggest reason to not play it.

@MalteseFalconPunch In a lot of countries they are more set up like charity based organisations than government money making machines. The vast amounts they make go out mostly in cash prizes and to charitable courses. Generally we just use the lottery profits towards a lot better more transparent stuff so we don't have the same issues with them.

@MalteseFalconPunch in Ireland 90% of profits go back into the local community, when the national lottery was set up in the 1980s this was a condition, so by buying a ticket you are also supporting your community

@SW-User that is similar to Australia too. At least something semi decent comes out of it

Maybe you guys could just spend more of the lottery profits on education or something socially useful in future like most other developed countries do. So you know poor people in America ain't so f%king stupid in future and will be able to make logical decisions and count to 10 for themselves instead of just banning everything.

It's just a thought as I really don't know what to say, yes rich people and most people who ain't dumb as f%k don't spend all their money on lottery tickets but that's not rocket science. I mean I'm poor but I really don't feel any need to go making myself poorer and then just blaming it on everyone else, FFS.🤣

Let me say it again poor American class is the most privileged and entitled. You have no right to tell anyone how to spend their money when you spend yours however you please.
