What are your thoughts on the word, 'Worthy'?

I just read a cool quote, ' You dont get to trap me in the past. I am worthy of a future.' By Jodi Picoult
It was a quote on forgiveness of oneself or others. My question is, how do we know if we are Worthy? I often second guess that about myself. I know many do too.
For instance one of my main fears is dating, because I fear Im not worthy of love, if I cant do lots of things with a guy (socially..due to anxiety). How can we feel or believe we are Worthy??

I think of worth as value. The mistake we make is connecting bad choices / experiences as our self worth.
We’re all worthy of love, happiness, friendship. We are innately good.
Choices - good or bad - do not have a direct correlation with our self worth.
I’d start by reminding yourself each day that you are worthy of love, happiness and friendship. Everyone is worthy. I may meet people I am interested in that don’t accept me as I am and that’s ok. My anxiety does not make me any less worthy than anyone else.
