Do I go back or not?

So Ive seen a chiropractor nearly a year for my misaligned jaw. They added back treatments too, saying my spine needed it too and th a t its connected to everything. But I know if I saw my other option, a periodontist, they simply realign your jaw, no back work that I know of.
So all year, the treatment on back has been ok, but several weeks ago they mustve hit the wrong bone because I had severe pain off and on, starting the following day. I read you really shouldn't experience lengthy or severe pain. So I messaged them with my concern, to not do back anymore, just jaw. I wanted to know ahead of time before heading in, that that was ok, without being pressured face to face that I still should do the back. (They were not readily understanding on an issue I had a year ago, and questioned me even researching the treatment). I heard a quick reply back from secretary saying it should be fine and they would tell the doctor the message. So I messaged again upon not hearing from the chiropractor, and again got a note from secretary, not addressing anything, just saying they would treat my jaw.( Not saying they would NOT do my back, like I requested). I really wanted to hear from the chiropractor that this was ok, and Im debating going back. I have a strong feeling they want to press me on back treatments, which will give me anxiety, and tell me why I need it. Would you go back after, or try another place?

Every doctor I've ever spoken to about the subject has said this, and I can say it as an EMT: Do not go to a chiropractor.

Do. not. go. to a . chiropractor.

@Graylight I have not returned. While they were slowly helping my jaw, they were doing a delicate part too that I didnt ASK for..my spine. I emailed them asking if they could first tell me they wouldnt continue my back, only do jaw, and they only said, they will treat your jaw. No mention back of my back pain, and that they will not touch it. They didnt write they would ONLY do jaw. I knew they might press it face to face. I did like the jaw treatment, but I am not a fan of pushing me into other things. Ty for your work as an EMT🌺

@Coralmist I'm not saying a person can't run into someone gifted with the art physical manipulation. But I asked you to apply make-up to a face covered by a bag, could you? We've invented X-rays, MRI's and the like; there's no reason not to avail ourselves of modern medicine within limits.

Hope you feel better, though. I'm still looking for that Shaman of the Neck.
