Should you give notice when leaving /stopping therapy?

I don't believe I have before.. I think I just emailed them and said I won't be in next week or thereafter due to.....etc. etc. I would feel so awkard giving a week or more notice and then coming in while they know I'm leaving them the following week. they would probably ask why. I think it is ok to just call or email and say, 'From here on forward I will be stopping therapy...' ?

It's your money, so you are in charge.

I almost thought of switching primary care physicians because I felt like I just annoyed her.

But she has been good with the drugs, and my sugars and blood pressure are down. If it were not for her recommendations and urging I would not have done anything. I almost want to do things just to stop her nagging, lol!

Yet she is my doctor, not my friend or cheerleader. She has to tell it to me straight. I need that. I am stubborn and slow to change my habits, and she has been right so far. Several "I told you so's." Actually, she never said it, rather, I said, "Sorry for not taking care of it before, you were right, I should have " She then would say, more or less, better late than never. Now I am quicker to obey her recommendations, due to their success.

If it were not for nagging doctors, nurses, and parents, I might be dead now. Or disabled. The jury is still out, though.

I see my doctor so often now the receptionist does not even ask my name anymore, LOL!
