Who Remembers What the Round Pedal on the Right Does?

OK, I'm showing my age here.

Top | New | Old
Gusman · 61-69, M
The round switch on the floor I remember was a high beam switch. It was on the left.
Vin53 · M
@Gusman The starter on the floor was long before cars had high beams I'm pretty certain.
1490wayb · 56-60, M

Starter

Yep, you turn the key and press on it with your foot and it turns the starter.

Did you know or have to google it?

I remember my grandmother's car had that when I was a kid.
Convivial · 26-30, F

I was gonna say "automatic choke" to get the car started even before I read the comments.

My first car had one, but on the dashboard.

@Vin53

Choke?

Nope

Edit: A lot of old cars did have a "choke" knob that you pulled out or pushed in to adjust the air flow to the carburetor.
Musicman · 61-69, M
The switch to start the engine.
Jonjdw · 51-55, M
