Anyone use Amazon Firesticks ?

Would you recommend them ?

They are handy. Although I have noticed that it will only play or use the subscriptions of whoever signed onto it. My brother signed into one for Mom so she can share his subscriptions but it wont let her use mine. Though my brother can login and watch mine from his TV normally.

In the US, they are frequently on sale for half price, including currently, except for the very top of the line one which has a lesser discount. They work well and there are many apps available for it.
I planned on buying one but nothing my iPad or tv box can’t do. It’s not useful now. Few years back maybe it was good

@mysteryespresso I only have a laptop and a phone that i use for work and limited social media; e-mail etc.
It was suggested to me by a colleague for access to back catalogue movies and other things of a similar nature.

I suppose i could join Prime etc. but not ordinarily interested in what they want to sell me.
I have them on my tvs since getting rid of cable. They're great for streaming content. Roku is nice too and offers a bunch of free programming

I used them in the early days but switched to Apple for screen sharing ease.

She (amazon alexa) was easier to "talk to" for voice commands.

Yes. I used it to make my favourite little TV set 'smart'. Very good value for less than £30.
I'd recommend it if you don't already have a Smart TV. They work well for what they do. Also, if the remote goes bad, there's an app you can get on your smartphone.
