Getting out! I loved playing in the pool. My Mom worked at a hotsprings resort for a short time and I played in the pool everyday.
@rinkydinkydoink My problem wasn't that at all. I wanted to play in it all day. I was a perma prune from being in it so much lol
@ThesebootsRhungry

You musta been a delightful child - yours is BC!
@rinkydinkydoink Awe thank you. My momma would agree with you. I was a shy, only child that kept to myself. I was quite an inquisitive little girl.

Face plant...😁

I grew up beside the Pacific. Salt water ..pool water...love swimming. Trust me .. I can displace a decent Splash with a canon ball.

@SomeMichGuy Nearly as far south on the West Coast of the US as you can get.

Not " WALL" close ...but close. 😊
@Punxi I made the mistake of going in at Santa Cruz. It took a few ms to understand why sunning was the main activity there--the water was about the temperature of Lake Superior in late August ("too f-ing cold").

I noticed surfers even S of LA using wet suits. So I'm guessing you were S of the base (Pendelton)...there are a lot of places between there and Torrey Pines...

Putting my head underwater. I can’t swim so it takes me a bit to warm up to pools. Putting my head underwater was the “riskiest” move for me.
@PerfectionOfTheHeart

Come to think of it, that probably did take a lot of guts to do as a tot. My first experience happened when the little boat my dad, sister and I were in capsized in the Grand River, Ontario when I was 4... shortly after this my parents enrolled me in a learn-to-swim class at our municipal pool.

Not fun.
At all.
@rinkydinkydoink Thanks; Franklin was quite the guy.
@SomeMichGuy

I want to activate the thumbs up emoji but three times in a row the surprised looking face reared its ugly head...
@rinkydinkydoink Hey, no prob, and thanks! 😊
Diving. Gawd, I’m glad nobody had camera phones back them. Now I just get in the pool. 😅
