How many hours do you spend in the swimming pool?

Minimum ⛱️
4meAndyou · F
I used to spend at least an hour to two hours in the pool, when I was a kid. But...several severe sunburns taught me to stay out of the sun.
4meAndyou · F
@SW-User Yeah, when I was young I don't even think sunblock existed. My mother ended up with skin cancer on her nose because she never used it. I tried using it whenever I went out, on my face, but it always looked greasy.
SW-User
Sorry to hear about your mom 🤍
Now there are many products that suit all skin types. You can ask for a non greasy formula or just apply some loose powder on top to mattify it @4meAndyou

@SW-User Thanks!

Swimming pool? Us poor Europeans need to walk two hours to the nearest one
SW-User
Depends which part of Europe ofc @val70

When I was a teenager, during the summer it was a minimum of like 6 to 8 hours. I loved swimming. As an adult. It’s not nearly any time. Sometimes I go months because I’m so busy. I miss it.
SW-User
You totally should revisit your youth and hit the pool again @Josh1454

@Josh1454 I too used to spend most of the day at the pool as a kid, but got out of that habit as an adult!
Josh1454 · M
@SW-User I know. I miss it.

We have a pool at the farm. I will get in it during the heat of the day.

During the week, at home. I have gotten back into swimming in an Olympic-sized pool for my shoulder and hip workout.

So maybe 3 hours a week at home and a few hours occasionally at the farm.
At least one hour when I swim.
But I usually swim in the lake.

When I was in my twenties I was a distance swimmer.
I would swim for hours at a time and swim ten miles without stopping
SW-User
Wow that's actually cool 😎@Onestarlitnight
Not nearly enough, swim when in holidays but only go to local baths about once every 3 months.
I do exercise a fair bit and do PE class 2. - 3 times a week.
As a kid, I could spend all day swimming
SW-User
I don't know why most of you guys in the comments have stopped doing it as an adult @BizSuitStacy
@SW-User part of it is access, part of it is time. I grew up in a warm climate there were lots of places to swim, and as a kid, I had lots of free time.
SW-User
Maybe on vacation @BizSuitStacy

3.5 hours a week (30 mins. a day). There's a pool just down the road from me 🙂
SW-User
That's a reasonable time 👍🏽
3-4 for me too ☺️ @supersnipe
DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
None. But if I ever had a house with a private pool, I'd live in the water.
zero, zilch, nada, none 😌
SW-User
Just whyyy @Ozymandiaz
@SW-User Swimming in boring 💁
SW-User
Not even close 💁🏽‍♀️@Ozymandiaz
Sidewinder · 36-40, M
Depends on how warm the water is.
SW-User
How about when it's just the perfect temp @Sidewinder
Sidewinder · 36-40, M
@SW-User "Perfect" is subjective. In this case, what may be "the perfect temp" to one, may not be "the perfect temp" to another. Same with how Goldilocks found Little Bear's porridge to be the "happy medium" between what Mama and Papa Bear's porridges were.
SW-User
Let's go skinny dipping

None

Just wondering, were you affected by the earthquake?
SW-User
My city has suffered a minimal damage, in the physical sense. We got shaken bad that we had to spend 2 nights outside in fear of aftershocks. But, nobody has lost their home or died of the quake here.

You get past the initial fear, but it is the devastation & sorrow you feel for the victims that affects you the most.

Yet I'm thankful that all my family are okay. Also, life is precious 🤍

@BlueGreenGrey
@SW-User glad you and your family made it through better than the less fortunate areas. These incidents are always create much sorrow :(
SW-User
Indeed. Thank you @BlueGreenGrey
