Panic and anxiety

Tried to go to the store today
The crowd was way too much. People everywhere—pushing, talking, laughing way too loud. It felt like the walls were closing in, except there weren’t any walls, just a sea of people moving in every direction. My chest felt tight , and I could barely breathe. Every time I tried to step away, someone else bumped into me, and my heart was racing like crazy. I just needed space, air, anything—but no matter where I looked, there was nowhere to go.
I just had to literally run out of the store with people staring at me like I was some crazy chick
I won’t go back there anytime soon

Large crowds can look menacing and the addition of noise in a tight space can lead to something like panic attacks.

Best is to leave as you did and then sit down somewhere, close your eyes and let your heart come down to a normal level. Also, you can listen to some soothing music if you have any.

@Stephie Thanks for BC. I am glad you took the initiative to leave that environment.

A place to seek peace is to go to a library or book store. As a bookworm, that would be your ideal place for you to let your blood pressure and pulse normalize and if you have the opportunity to have a hot drink, then you can relax much faster.
