The pain of being alone
The pain of being alone is hard to explain. It’s not just wanting a relationship or someone to hang out with. It’s wanting to feel like I actually matter to someone. To have someone who checks in, wants to hear my voice, asks how my day was, and genuinely wants me around.
Lately the loneliness feels deeper than just being by myself. I feel forgotten, disconnected, and emotionally exhausted. I miss having someone to share life with. I miss feeling wanted and important to someone. I keep trying to distract myself, but when everything gets quiet, that emptiness is still there. I’m tired of pretending being alone doesn’t hurt.
