Gabapentin for Arthritis

So Joel's doctor is talking about putting him on gabapentin to help with the arthritis he has in his hands and shoulders. Has anyone taken it for this, does it help. I've read it can some crazy side effects.

I take 900mg of Gabapentin every day for migranes. It works for them for the most part. I haven't had any side effects either. Hopefully it can help Joel.

@HowtoDestroyAngels I hope so I hate seeing him in pain. He doesn't show it much but I can tell he's hurting even on light duty at work.

@HowtoDestroyAngels he's going in tomorrow for an appointment. Right now they are talking about 1 or 2 100 milligrams at night

@Cigarguy I get cortisone shots too. Has he thought about them for pain relief?

@HowtoDestroyAngels no he's just started seeing a doctor for the pain. He's a bit more stubborn about doctors than I am.
