Car wrecks always seem to brings out pains and aches in areas you never knew you had. Hope you heal fast

@WasEP Man, isn't that the truth. Thank you for your kind comment and for caring. It means a lot to me..🙂

Oh that sucks, sorry. Were you rear ended? I was last December and I started getting neck pains the following day..it really lurched my neck but I didn't feel it at the time. Almost a year later I STILL have whiplash pain, although not as strong. I had seen a chiropractor for several months but I just joined PT too a month ago. I think it's helping. Keep ice on the area too .that helped me.

@Coralmist Yes, we were rear-ended. Here is the post about that.

Sounds like a pretty violent hit, possibly from an angle. Glad you are ok. Your hip make hurt from the seat belt or hitting the door. The same with your feet hitting the petals weird.
Journaling4MeAgain · 56-60, F
@Livingwell Yeah, I think he was trying to miss us at the last minute, because most of the damage is in the back on the driver's side. I think you are right about why I hurt where I hurt. Thank you for your kind and thoughtful comment. It has helped me greatly because your comment is helping me put the pieces together. Yesterday, things just kinda all ran together. I know that sounds weird. 😔 I really do appreciate your help. 🙂

@Journaling4MeAgain It's weird how we process such things. The mind goes into slow motion and we hear every sound and see things move like we are looking from the outside. Afterward.. silence.

Concussions are tricky things, thats what i'd be concerned with
Journaling4MeAgain · 56-60, F
@bookerdana I am a little worried, but I seem to be able to think a little clearer this morning. The headache is gone, but the nausea is still a thing. My daughter says she feels much better as far as the concussion symptoms go. So that's good.🙂

@Journaling4MeAgain I'd go to the docs
Journaling4MeAgain · 56-60, F
@bookerdana We don't have health insurance, but if it doesn't improve or gets worse we may end up having to go see the doctor.

In most states injury coverage on your own vehicle is mandatory. Get covered there, and then they recover from the at fault driver's coverage

@Thrust We have insurance that covers our liability in the event of an accident. Do you think this would cover injuries to us, too?
Edit- I just looked it up. Unfortunately, our own insurance doesn't cover damage to our vehicle or injury to us. 😔
"What does liability insurance cover?
Vehicle insurance (including car, motorcycle, RV, boat, and others)
Injuries you cause to someone else while driving
Damage you cause to other vehicles while driving
Damage you cause to someone else's property, such as a mailbox or street sign
Legal expenses for accident-related lawsuits"

Most states make you have it. It might be called PIP or Medical Payments.
Alot of lawyers have doctors who will see you and not charge. They take their payments out of the settlement
