After yesterday's car acident

I'm in a lot of pain. For some reason, I have pain in my left hip, right ankle, and right wrist. The symptoms of concussion seem to be less, and I don't think my neck hurts too badly, but it is kinda hard to tell because my hip hurts alot. That is what I seem to be focusing on. Most of my back is stiff, too. I wrote about the accident yesterday, so I won't add details here. I just woke my daughter up to check on her, and she says her neck hurts, but other than that, she thinks she's ok. Both she and I have very high pain thresholds, though, so how much pain we feel doesn't always tell ya how badly we are hurt. I will say I do understand Uncle Joe now and why he was moving kinda slow...this morning.🫤

See your doctor

@MarineBob We don't have health insurance, so we are on our own. Thank you for your advice and for caring. Really, thank you!

@Journaling4MeAgain call a lawyer he'll get you right in to see a doctor

@MarineBob I think that is what my Husband plans to do. He is coming in from elk camp in a day or two to make sure I can still drive the van to take our daughter to work. If we are still having issues, I am sure he will get ahold of a lawyer.

In most states injury coverage on your own vehicle is mandatory. Get covered there, and then they recover from the at fault driver's coverage

@Thrust We have insurance that covers our liability in the event of an accident. Do you think this would cover injuries to us, too?

Edit- I just looked it up. Unfortunately, our own insurance doesn't cover damage to our vehicle or injury to us. 😔

"What does liability insurance cover?
Vehicle insurance (including car, motorcycle, RV, boat, and others)
Injuries you cause to someone else while driving
Damage you cause to other vehicles while driving
Damage you cause to someone else's property, such as a mailbox or street sign
Legal expenses for accident-related lawsuits"

Most states make you have it. It might be called PIP or Medical Payments.

Alot of lawyers have doctors who will see you and not charge. They take their payments out of the settlement
