đź’”THE ILLUSION OF A RESCUERđź’”
💔There’s a kind of pain that doesn’t just break your heart, it breaks your trust in the good you thought you finally found. Once again, I recently thought I’d met someone here who saw through my pain and cared deeply. He was gentle, comforting, understanding, the kind of man who makes you believe he’ll stand by you through it all.
And for a while, I believed him.
I believed the words, the warmth, the emotional connection. I believed that maybe, just maybe, something real could grow out of broken places.
But I’ve learned — AGAIN — that some come in the form of rescuers, only to feed on the very vulnerability they pretended to protect.
They play the role of the caring gentleman until they’ve taken what they wanted, and then they leave
you more shattered than before!!
Yes, laugh at me!!!I was gullible!!!. Foolish, even. But I’d rather be a fool with a real heart than someone who toys with another person’s emotions.
So this isn’t about hate or revenge. It’s about truth.
To the women here: don’t lose your worth in the arms of someone who only offers words.
To the men who pretend to care: your charm may get you what you want, but it leaves behind scars you’ll never see.
I’ll heal slowly, like I always do — because at least what I gave was real.💔
