I understand, but other emotions can soften the pain though it never stops completely.
I lost my partner three years ago next week, so I am still in the process of soothing the pain.

I think that time might enable us to accept our wounds, but they will always remain wounds. They are a part of us.

I am not so sure time heals all wounds; it dulls it, and it plays in the background like an unwanted melody.
