Pain is inevitable: suffering is optional

Hm. possibly.

Sometimes the person you really need is the one you didn't think you wanted.

Even literally this isn't true. Tell it to any that are in certain hell hole jails, not having even committed a crime.

@DeWayfarer First of all, sir. Did not ever say I was in agreement with the title.

I believe I said " hm, possibly"

Also, I am sure you know your example is not how it was intended.

@SW-User Wasn't in disagreement with you. Just the saying is absurd. As a saying.

A good saying holds true, no matter the context.

Aligning life to this vision where you can foresee what you should want is the hardest thing

A place where many fail
SW-User
@Iwantyourhotwife trying to want what you should want and letting go of what you do want is very hard.

@SW-User yes, but we grow

Just like how a child may want to put their hand on the stove, they learn its repercussions the hard way or easy way

Even when mom tells them "Don't touch the stove/iron. It will hurt"

Suffering is inevitable, the choice of suffering is important.
Suffering for good habits, is a choice.
Suffering from bad habits, is arguably a bi-product from the decision not to decide.

Listened to Joseph Prince 2 weeks ago and was healed from some deep muscle pain from 6 years ago. Praise Jesus!

Have you ever heard of acceptance and commitment therapy?
