My Grandpa (Dad's Dad) died about 2 years before I was born. I wish I had gotten to know him. My Grandma had a stroke when I was 4 and was unable to do things with me and her health declined quickly after the stroke. My Mom's parents were tired of grandkids by the time I came around. I was their 14th grandchild in 16 years. I can't honestly remember them ever calling me by name. I see how my classmates are with their grandkids and I feel cheated out of an amazing experience.

I feel awful that I never gave my parents grandkids. I would have loved to have been a father - just never found a woman who wanted to marry me and have babies with me.

That is what Life is, you get up and go on because you are alive. We carry hurt and loss but we also carry love and joy

Sorry for your loss. Sadly we lost our people but we have our "somebodies" to cheer us up.

My kids never saw my dad because he died when, I was 19. My mother died when my children were toddlers, at least she saw them. We lived with her in the countryside before she passed away and until now they remember her & she visits them in dreams. My kids are now 21 & 19.

Then my younger bro died when he's only 47. He's very nice to them, to me as well. He always gave us pocket money for a vacation in summer.

Sorry, I don’t understand my life has to be this way either. It just doesn’t seem right…

You are born and at some point in life you die, some sooner than others, that is how life works.

It does suck that this is the life cycle we are born into and forced to accept it.
