Did you know you were sick?

Were you afraid of the cost of healthcare? Or were you so used to being so strong that you didn't realize how bad it was getting?

I love you and I miss you and I'm sorry I wasn't there for you.
I’m so sorry you’re having to live with those thoughts. Must be very painful. The only questions that come to mind are, would she want you torturing yourself this way? Would she want your memories of her to be the cause of sadness rather than smiles? How can you live your life in a way that would honor her memory and make her proud?

Forgive me if I’ve overstepped. Those were just some of questions I asked myself when my mom passed away a few years ago.

@OlderSometimesWiser you're not overstepping, this helps a lot. thank you
@Frostcloud I’m so glad. And I’m sure that she wants you to live a beautiful life. She’ll always be a part of you. Let her feel you living that life. 🫂

Your post sounds personal, as if you are talking to someone directly. I knew I was sick but didn't admit it myself until years later. It all worked out in the end, just a new reality.

I lost my dad last year, and for the same reason. I'm so sorry.
