Why does grieving always hurt so much?

Something so deeply embedded into your emotions cannot be easily extracted. It's like trying to remove the foundations of your house while the house is still standing. You have to expect that the impact will be major. Time eases the pain, but unfortunately there are no shortcuts. You just have to go through it.

@Eklipse It's one of the worst realities of life, that the longer that you live you will experience more and more death. However, death is a part of the journey. We can only hope that it comes without pain. When it comes, however it comes, we do best by celebrating the life. People leave part of themselves with you and that can never be taken away.

@SW-User It's only worse because I've experienced loss at a very young age then it kept on going and didnt stop till Thur day. One can only stop and think how precious life is.
